A blast from the past! 

I knit this the year Alice Starmore's book "In the Hebrides" came out in 1995. I was working Saturday's at a yarn store (since closed) when sweaters from the book came to the shop for a trunk show. Fell in love with this one when I tried it on. I can still remember finishing the body and trying it on before I cut the armhole steaks. I walked into the playroom where my daughter and son were playing and, pretending to cry, I told them that mommy messed up with her sweater:) They were very consoling and quite astounded when I took the scissors to it! We all had a good laugh! It has been a favorite ever since:)

This second picture is truer to the colors. I need to find a better spot to photograph these sweaters!
